CRANIOSOMATICS – INTRO: SUTURAL RESTRICTIONS & MUSCULOSKELETAL FUNCTION :: CE Course

This 2-hour Continuing Education course presents the central concepts of the CranioSomatic approach to bodywork and sutural releases which can be integrated into massage treatment sessions. These techniques can enhance treatment outcomes and avoid treatment-induced sutural restrictions (especially from the use of a face cradle), which may result in musculoskeletal symptoms. Audience participation will be included as Flo shows how easy sutural releases can be performed at the end of a session as a gentle face and scalp massage. These are excellent quick techniques for self-care, and the benefits for patients are demonstrated.

Manual muscle testing and other evaluation procedures will be used show some of the many relationships between sutural restrictions and musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the integration of the head and neck with total musculoskeletal function.
